Welcome, I'm so glad you found me. I'm here to support you.
I am a massage therapist, an educator, a pain coach. I am a yoga instructor with an interest in strength science and how it intersects with pain science. I am a student, integrating myofascial, sports massage, Craniosacral Therapy together for a uniquely therapeutic session.
I believe that a comfortable body ultimately lies at the intersection of mobility, an even and slow breath pattern, and the strength and self-awareness that result from a daily conscious movement practice. Clients accustomed to a bodyworker that “fixes” their aches and pains will find my process to be much more collaborative; it asks that each client be curious and sensitive in and outside the session.
Over the last decade, my mission has been to help folks feel good in their bodies. Whether working with professional athletes, desk workers, or people in chronic pain, I've found it deeply satisfying that people actually leave my office feeling better! Ever dedicated to long term and sustainable results, however, my quest has led me to investigate the root of sensation, pain and suffering: the brain.
After many years of employing biomechanical models as a framework for understanding what my clients were experiencing, my later education has brought forth a more holistic and empowering understanding of those in suffering. While my hands on work is largely guided by client preference and input, the philosophy behind how I structure my treatments rest on a foundation of evidence based pain neuroscience.
