Many of us assume that when we are in pain there is some underlying problem occuring in our tissues. It may surprise you to know that the relationship between pain and damage gets weaker the longer that we've experienced it.
Look at the past week: what stressors have been present in your life? An intense jog? A weekend of moving? The flu? Emotional upset? An increase in your workload or conflict with your boss? All of these stressors contribute to how much pain we experience from one day to the next. If this is confusing, use the resources below to develop a deeper understanding.
